Keep the good take.

Replace the bad 12 seconds.

Qreata is a native Mac screen recorder built around one simple idea: a mistake should cost seconds, not the whole recording.

THE PROBLEM ISN'T RECORDING

The part you messed up is 12 seconds. Why rerecord 12 minutes?

Most recorders flatten your work into a video. Qreata keeps the useful parts separate — clips, audio, cursor, zooms, and edits — so the recording stays fixable.

01 / TRUST THE RED BUTTON

Your recording is already saving.

Qreata writes short local chunks while you record. If capture stalls or the app is interrupted, it can recover the parts already saved instead of gambling everything on Stop.

  • Active preflight checks real screen and audio input
  • Disk space and track health monitored during capture
  • Pause, resume, and add another clip safely

Each block is recoverable on its own.

02 / CONTROL AFTER CAPTURE

One recording. Four clean tracks.

Screen, camera, microphone, and system audio stay separate. Mute the noisy source, rebalance the voice, or change the camera layout without touching the original take.

  • Independent mic and system-audio gain
  • Non-destructive trim, split, delete, undo
  • 4K H.264 export with matching preview

03 / AUTOMATION YOU CAN OVERRULE

Faster by default. Editable by design.

Qreata can turn clicks into zooms, transcribe speech locally, and find filler words. Every suggestion lands on the timeline where you can adjust it, remove it, or ignore it.

  • Editable auto-zoom from real click events
  • Local transcription and word-level cuts
  • Background, padding, radius, and camera layout

BUILT FROM THE COMPLAINTS

We read the one-star parts.

Across recorder reviews and public feedback, the same failures keep surfacing. Qreata's product principles are direct answers to them — not another feature checklist.

Patterns from Screen Studio, Camtasia, Descript, Loom, Cap, CleanShot, and Mac recorder discussions.
01

Repeated complaint

A crash wipes out the take

Qreata's answer

The recording is already saving.

Qreata writes recoverable five-second chunks and a journal while you record. Stop is not the first time your work touches disk.Chunked capture + startup recovery
02

Repeated complaint

One stumble means start again

Qreata's answer

Replace the stumble, not the story.

Select the failed range, record just that part, and keep the useful minutes before and after it on the same timeline.Replace Take + multi-clip projects
03

Repeated complaint

Every sound is baked together

Qreata's answer

Fix the source that caused the problem.

Screen, camera, microphone, and system audio remain separate. Lower the app, mute the mic, or move the camera without damaging the rest.4 independent editable tracks
04

Repeated complaint

Automation takes over the edit

Qreata's answer

Suggestions stay suggestions.

Auto-zooms and word cuts remain visible and editable. Adjust them, remove them, or ignore them; the original take stays intact.Non-destructive by default
05

Repeated complaint

A basic fix needs another editor

Qreata's answer

Finish the common job where it started.

Trim, split, replace, rebalance, restyle, and export a polished 4K MP4 without rebuilding the project in a full video editor.Record → repair → export in Qreata
FROM RECORD TO READY

Three steps. One app.

  1. 1

    Record

Pick a display, app, window, or area. Qreata checks the setup before the countdown.

  2. 2

    Repair

Cut by words, tune the tracks, or replace only the part that went wrong.

  3. 3

    Export

Export a clean MP4 locally or send the finished file to your Google Drive.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Before you download.

Does Qreata upload my recordings?

No. Recording, editing, and transcription happen locally on your Mac. Upload to Google Drive is an optional action after export.

What does “crash-safe” actually mean?

Qreata writes short chunks and a recovery journal while recording. If capture is interrupted, it can rebuild the material already saved instead of depending on one final file.

Is this a subscription?

No. Pay once and keep Qreata—including every future feature update. There is no renewal and no update cutoff.

Which Macs are supported?

The current beta supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.

What is not in the beta yet?

Raw-track export, captions/SRT, tracked privacy redaction, and advanced audio cleanup are still in development. We do not count them as reasons to buy today.

Will Qreata replace OBS or Final Cut?

No. Qreata is for product demos, tutorials, and explanations. It is not a live-streaming studio or a full nonlinear editor.

The next mistake
can take 12 seconds.

Not another full recording.
